MNMT-Dublin Forum I: Brittle Materials Manufacturing

MNMT-Dublin Forum on Brittle Materials Manufacturing was held in Clare, Ireland on July 1st-3rd. More than 40 experts on manufacturing attended the forum.
The delegates visited UCD Centre of Micro/Nano Manufacturing Technology (MNMT-Dublin) on the first day. Prof Fengzhou Fang gave an introduction on the research areas and development of MNMT-Dublin.
7 keynote speeches were invited at the forum on the theme of ultra-precision machining of brittle materials from different aspects. The participants had discussions on how to improve relevant research and promote the potential industrial applications, exchanged the opinions on key scientific issues and development trends, and also explored future collaboration opportunities.
Participants expressed that it was a constructive forum and expected a future academic gathering again in Ireland.
