MNMT-Dublin is honorably collaborating with 5 academic members from distinguished Universities and Institutes. We are proudly hosting 14 Ph.D. students and 10 researchers, including 2 Assistant Professors, 2 Senior Engineer, 1 career FIT Research Fellows, 1 Marie Skłodowska-Curie CAROLINE Research Fellow, 1 IRC Government of Ireland Research Fellow, and 7 Postdoctoral Researchers.

Prof. Fengzhou Fang

Professor Fengzhou Fang has over 40 years of experience working in manufacturing science and technology. He was responsible for setting up the Centre of Micro/Nano Manufacturing Technology (MNMT) at Tianjin University in 2005, which is a leading research organization in the field of ultra-precision manufacturing. He has managed a large number of national, international, and industry-funded research projects. His specialist areas of interest include micro/nano manufacturing, optical freeform manufacturing, medical device/implants manufacturing, ultra-precision manufacturing and metrology. Amongst the application areas are in aspheric and freeform optical systems, visual optics, bio-medical implants, and medical devices. Professor Fang has worked with numerous industrial partners assisting companies to develop their R&D activities. He has published over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals, along with 12 book chapters, as well as over 60 patents. He is the Founding President of the International Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET) and the editor-in-chief of Nanomanufacturing and Metrology (NMME). He was the President of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) in 2023-2024.

Professor Fang is a recipient of the SME Albert M. Sargent Progress Award, Member of the Royal Irish Academy (RIA), Member of the Academia Europaea (AE), and a Fellow of ISNM, AET, CIRP and SME.
