MNMT-Dublin Symposium VI: The Interactions of Nanoparticles with Living Systems

Professor Kenneth A. Dawson was invited to give a lecture in the MNMT-Dublin Symposium on how to understand the interaction of nanoparticles with living systems. The lecture explained the controlling of these interactions and relevant applications in nanotherapeutics and nanosafety.


Professor Kenneth A. Dawson is the Director of the Centre for BioNano Interactions (CBNI). His professional roles include representing Ireland on various international bodies, including the OECD and ISO working groups on standards in nanotechnology. He has been an advisor on nanoscience matters in the EU New Risk Committee of the European Commission, as well as the Advisory group of the European Medicines Agency, as a Highly Cited Researcher for 2018, he is among an elite group recognized for exceptional research performance demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science.
