Abstract
Selective laser melting (SLM) is an additive manufacturing (AM) technology which enables to fabricate parts with tailored structures and no geometrical complexity limitations. Despite of the potential advantages of this technique, limiting aspects of its industrial diffusion are the poor ability to obtain good surface quality of internal structures. Post treatment methods show great potential in improving the surface quality of SLM parts.
This research will focus on the material removal mechanism and improve post treatment procedure for internal surface of SLM parts.
