MNMT-Dublin Symposium IX: Origin and Development of Vision Correction Discipline
Dr Arthur Cummings was invited to give a lecture at the series of MNMT-Dublin Symposium on Origin and Development of Vision Correction discipline on 17th May. The presentation looks at where the discipline of vision correction has come from and where it is going. Future development is indicated to be in the direction of refractive indexing, such as changing the power of the cornea without changing the shape or thickness of the cornea.

Dr Arthur Cummings is a cataract and refractive surgeon at the Wellington Eye Clinic and Beacon Hospital in Dublin. He is a globally recognized vision correction specialist with more than 100 peer-reviewed and trade publications, more than 400 international conference presentations and has presented multiple named-lectures at major conferences. He was listed as one of the top 100 most influential ophthalmologists globally in 2018 and one of the top 10 leaders in global ophthalmology in 2019 by the publication, The Ophthalmologist.
