Dr. brian vohnsen from the ucd school of physics was invited to hold a seminar covering the understanding of the human eye and retina and wavefront sensing and adaptive optics imaging at the centre of micro/nano manufacturing technology (mnmt-dublin).

Dr. vohnsen holds an msc in optical engineering and a phd in nano-optics from aalborg university, denmark in 1994 and 1998 respectively. he is currently working in the ucd school of physics and has made seminal contributions to the understanding of photoreceptor directionality and the stiles-crawford effects.
